Schooled in Socialism

During my four-year term on the Anne Arundel County Council I voted against the adoption of the proposed county budget in each of those years. 

On each of these occasions the vote was 6 to 1 against me. 

I was severely criticized by the leftist, local press and by public school advocates for my refusal to support their relentless demands for more funding. 

In 2018, my final year on the Council, the public schools in my county devoured more than 2/3 of the $1.5 billion budget.

And, of course, it’s not enough. It is never enough.

But, aside from the runaway spending. the far more important reason I voted against four budgets is because of the destructive mission of the schools themselves. 

You see it’s no accident that the public schools promote a godless, socialist agenda.  Leading to the dumbing down of the culture.

And it’s no accident they promote immorality, including premarital sex, homosexuality, transgenderism, same sex marriage ,— all under the guise of diversity. 

And it’s no accident that students are immersed in radical environmentalism, leading to “non-science” nonsense like “climate change” and the “green new deal”.

And it’s no accident that public schools train children to dismiss and forsake the values of their parents, leading to the disintegration of the family unit.

And it’s no accident they drain the resources of the citizenry making it more difficult for families to educate their children privately.

All of these things are purposeful.  All of these things are intended to destroy America and remake it as a godless socialist empire. 

Run by America’s enemies -- some knowingly and some unknowingly -- The public schools are destroying my county.  They must be disestablished before they completely destroy our country and our American culture.
